Fridlio Terms of Service

1. About Fridlio and acceptance

These Terms govern your use of Fridlio products and this website, provided by Victor Nwoke. By using the website or an app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms do not replace rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

2. Fridlio products

Fridlio: Pantry & Expiry and Fridlio: Calorie Tracker are separate products under the Fridlio brand. Product availability and features can differ.

3. Eligibility

You must meet the eligibility requirements shown in the product. Fridlio: Calorie Tracker is intended for adults aged 18 and over and enforces this at account eligibility. This age requirement is specific to Calorie Tracker.

4. Accounts

Keep your sign-in credentials confidential and use accurate account information. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Acceptable use

• Use Fridlio lawfully and for its intended personal purpose.
• Do not interfere with the service, bypass access limits or attempt unauthorised access.
• Do not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content.

6. Pantry & Expiry functionality

Receipt recognition, barcode data, expiry estimates and recipe suggestions can be incomplete or inaccurate. Review detected information and packaging details. Expiry estimates are organisational aids, not food-safety guarantees.

7. Calorie Tracker functionality

Calorie Tracker is in development for logging food by photo, text and search, reviewing calorie and macro estimates, and confirming meals into a diary. It is not publicly launched. Photo analysis is disabled in production and USDA FoodData Central is selected but not yet configured.

8. General wellness and no medical advice

Calorie Tracker is for general wellness and informational purposes. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, does not replace a qualified healthcare professional, and is not intended for emergency or clinical decisions.

9. Nutrition and AI estimates

Food recognition may be uncertain and portion estimates may be imperfect. Calorie and macro values are estimates and reference information. Where food data is available, nutrition comes from selected source records and application calculations; AI helps interpret the food.

10. Review your results

Review food identity, servings, quantities and preparation assumptions and edit them where needed before saving. You are responsible for deciding which entries to confirm. Do not use Fridlio as the sole basis for health, treatment, allergy or food-safety decisions.

11. Account deletion

You can request account deletion through the product’s privacy controls. Calorie Tracker deletion starts an irreversible job and revokes sessions; Pantry has its separate pending-deletion process. An export is optional. See Delete your account for the exact paths and help if you cannot sign in.

12. Third-party services

Fridlio may rely on authentication, app-store, data, diagnostics, notification or food-data services. Their services and content are governed by their own terms where applicable.

13. Subscriptions and billing

Pantry & Expiry subscriptions, where offered, are sold through Apple’s App Store. The price and billing terms shown by Apple at purchase apply. Calorie Tracker V1 does not offer subscriptions.

14. Cancellation

You can manage an Apple subscription through your Apple account settings. Deleting a Fridlio account does not itself cancel an active App Store subscription.

15. Intellectual property

Fridlio’s branding, original app design and website content belong to Victor Nwoke or its licensors. Third-party content remains subject to its applicable licence.

16. User content

You retain your rights in information and photos you add, and must have the right to upload them. You grant the limited permission needed to store, process and display it to operate the product, including sharing it with household members where you choose a shared feature.

17. Service availability

We aim to operate Fridlio reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Some features require a network connection or a supported device.

18. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or comply with law, and will give notice where practicable.

19. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, Fridlio is provided as available. We do not warrant that automated recognition, estimates, food records or third-party content will always be complete, accurate or error-free.

20. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

21. Changes to the service

We may change, add or remove product features as the service develops. We will not describe an unshipped feature as available.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and will update the date above or provide additional notice where required.

23. Governing law and jurisdiction

Mandatory laws and consumer protections applicable to you continue to apply. These Terms do not require arbitration or remove access to a court or other remedy available under applicable law.
